Meet our newest member of the month, Jay Fendley!

Jay came to us over a year ago 4 months post cardiac arrest. Jay had never done CrossFit let alone workout in general before joining CrossFit Polydamas. He has made huge strength gains, increased his cardiovascular output tremendously and found a new way of life.

Jay is always so supportive and encouraging of others working out along side him and makes it a priority to get in at least 4 days a week!

Meet a past member of the month, Marybruce Chandler!

Marybruce is a dedicated baseball mom who loves a good time and hates jump ropes! She came to CrossFit looking for coaching and safe instruction to fitness after a bad accident. She diligently learns and sweats it out weekly at 5:30AM!

“I love that it makes me challenge myself. Most days I look at the WOD before I come and often think, ‘I’ll never be able to do that’ but I do! Or at least a modification of it. Also, working out early in the morning gives me a lot of energy.”

Meet Jake, a past CrossFitter of the Month as chosen by our coaches!

Jake is a dedicated and diligent athlete. He is such a supporter and encourager for other members in the gym. Don’t let this husband and dad of two fool you. He has worked hard to have a back squat of 375lbs, 405lb deadlift, and maintaining a 7 minute mile! Jake is such an inspiration to others in the gym and shows that hard work pays off!

Meet Christy, a past CrossFitter of the Month as chosen by our Polydamas coaches!

Christy is such a hard worker and dedicated athlete. Along with training 3-4 days each week, she is a wife, mother of 2 and principal at a charter school in Winston-Salem, NC. In just one year of doing CrossFit, Christy has lost over 60lbs and 6 pant sizes!! Christy has not only gained strength and increased her fitness level but she has gained tons of confidence in herself as a woman who leads the way for others!

“I have met some new amazing friends and I HAVE ENERGY! Not to mention, it feels good to slam iron with the girls and fellas. It was out of my comfort zone but I am so happy I gave it a try!”

Meet Dianna, a past CrossFitter of the Month as chosen by our Polydamas coaches!

Its always great to see Dianna get in the box 3 and 4 days a week giving her all each workout. Her dedication and pursuit of health is inspiring to others! In just 5 short months, Dianna dropped over 40 pounds and several sizes! Her fitness is really starting to level up with form and technique drills allowing her to make some real strength gains. Dianna rocks!

There is no better time than now to kick start your new year, new you than with Couch2CrossFit at CrossFit Polydamas! Thats right! You can learn foundational movements, get in shape, lose inches, gain cardiovascular endurance, and lose some pounds along the way! In our 4 week program, you will commit to 3 days per week training, learn from top certified staff in the area, and finish feeling stronger, happier, motivated and the best version of you.

Couch2CrossFit is a program for anyone and everyone looking to learn the basics of CrossFit in a stress-free and welcoming environment. Together we will bust through the myths of CrossFit, enhance our functional fitness, and prepare our bodies from the inside out for all of life’s demands.

What’s the cost? $115/month
When are the workouts? Classes are offered Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at 5:30 PM, and 7:30 PM.
What’s next? After completion, you will be ready to advance into the regular CrossFit programming and schedule! You must complete all required classes before advancing into regular class scheduling.

ONE-ON-ONE COACHING

Whether you are new to exercise, recovering from injury, need additional accountability, or just prefer one-on-one interaction, we offer personal training as a great alternative to group classes.

CARDIO & CORE

In a crunch for time? Our Cardio & Core morning classes offer you a heart-pumping, core-focused workout in less than 30 minutes. Included with a CrossFit membership and also available as a stand-alone program.

POLYDAMAS BITES

We are serious about fueling our bodies and we want to help you do the same with our Polydamas Bites program. We offer nutrition counseling, meal planning, and more.

We focus on creating functional fitness-based workouts that prepare you for all of life’s demands, while cultivating a positive mindset for each individual. Our goal is for you to get fit, have fun, stay safe, and enjoy the best hour of your day!
